12th July - Sodertalje canal - Micks first fishing in Sweden DAY 1

About 400 metres from our abode is the Sodertalje ship canal and about 600 metres by road . This was to be Mick's first proper fishing session in the land of ABBA . I knew from earlier fishing sessions in previous weeks that the fishing was excellent so a guaranteed certainty to catch , but how much weight is possible ?

Both of us decided to place the boxes in the water at about 1-2 metres out so giving an advantage of being close to the water and gaining extra pole length .

Mick started of with a first cast Swedish fish a roach ...........

Next cast out was .......

Both of us started well taking at least 10 Bream between us in first hour .....

Mick in the shade .........

He could not stop catching ..........

What an incredible day as both of us had 20 plus Bream and Mick certainly had the better sized ones . We both lost quite large specimens but that is fishing , you cannot get everything you hook .....

Yes ! .........a great day on my 'local'
