MIDLANDS ANGLING SUPPLIES playing a leading part in supporting SENSAS and river anglers in the UK to fish more natural venues like the River Soar .
2014 has resurrected the River Soar to a high status match water attracting some of the best Midland anglers around. Its set to increase its status next year as many anglers wet their lips to join this league . Expect an increase in attendance of the Soar masters throughout the summer , fishing for those prolific sized Perch to 4LB and Eels TO 6.5LB. That also combined with a huge head of Bleak/Gudgeon/Chublettes/Minnows/Roach and well supported with Bream/skimmers and hybrids . The odd Carp are cruising and the fish of the series with out a doubt were those huge Tench up to 6LB!
The series was hard but the species in front of you was varied and the sections were different with some dominated by Perch and others by Roach on tares and hemp not forgetting the skimmer and bream sections.
What does next years series hold , new sections ? , more permanent pegs? , Better access ? Watch this space and get ready to join the list of eager anglers waiting to fish the largest attended river series in the UK.
The Winter team league was a resounding success for the organisers like Joff Woodgett and the tireless Brian Hull . It also became a pivotal period where the River soar stepped back into its former glory days of the 70/80/90's . The reason for the success i believe is because the commercials have taken some of the art and fun out of angling and anglers want the angling back as it was years ago . However Commercials will continue to thrive but i think more anglers are combining both a lot more. This all bodes well for angling shops in particular Bennets of Mountsorrel and Midlands Angling Supplies .

We have just announced that we have preferred supplier status with the Italian float maker Maurizio Schiepatti and also to design a float range for the MAS . We shall be using our team to use these floats in their prototype form before production status .
This also will be the same with EXNER floats as you will see our designs for , flat floats , pole floats , Bolo floats ,sliders and wagglers. We now are Englands preferred stockist for Attila Nagy in Hungary and will develop the MAS float range using our preferred experts on the match scenes.
2014 WINTER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS - STARLETS …… Prize money went to purchase another trophy cabinet as the others were full !
