Thursday had a large match of 20 anglers fishing in the Vets match....and we had only 8 for our open
The kitchen was doing great trade feeding the Vets before their encounter
Les asking the lads what pegs to put in for the match.
Peg 7 for me , small island to my right with all kind of different depths !?
Everything ready with 6 rigs !!......3 same depth rigs but a back up with each one
Bait for the day: 6mm and 4mm expanders plus 2mm feed pellets with corn and maggot
rigs:
9 elastic 4x10 P.Rice float
9 elastic 4x8 Carpa float
4-6 Middy elastic P.Rice 4x12 float
6 Preston elastic 4x10 P.Rice float
10 Preston Latex Tamas 4x12 float
12 Preston latex 4x10 P.rice float
Deep rigs out in front were 0.12/0.10 TRIANA -18s Colmic or Preston
MARGIN and ISLAND rigs are 0.13 PRESTON POWERLINE thro to 18/16's
Peter Hancox was opposite on peg 29 a peg i had practiced on the previous week ......Peter would also be a firm favourite for the match as he had an island at 13 metres and a great 5 metre margin.
Charlie with a great 62lb ......he changed to corn half way thro the match and fished the reeds to his right and basically : '' did'nt stop catching''
Peg 3 with 48lb.........a very difficult peg to fish 16 metres on too the island
The only time i never seen this bloke without a cigarette in his mouth !!.......35 lb
Peter Hancox : '' Mr.West Bromwich Albion'' - The Jeff Astle of TBF , the winner with 65lb !!
Peg 33 last to weigh in with 41 lb
I finished 4th with 47lb and stayed on afterwards for a practice.....F1'S .....LOVE EM !!
