With so few opportunities now to fish due to lack of necessary pole equipment plus my fave venue Trosa is now shut till 2026-01-01 due to facilitate the free run upstream of the Trout as they are most precious !?!?
So i decided in 5 rod setups (actually only used 3 )
They were ; Method rod , feeder rod and slider .
Parking away from your peg is so strenuous 😂😂😂
The canal hardly ever used for competitions yet it fulfils all the necessary requirements like good parking , easy pathway for trolleys and most pegs (15 off) accessible from parked cars on road with a further 15 more a long the pathway with trolley use.
Started with method as i set up the other two rods , 2 roach on the bounce. The count was 10 seconds at 18m out
Then feeder rod the MATRIX XRF 11' with braid and 6' leader
53 fish for about 10lb in old money , not bad i suppose for a 4 hour session
