Today we fished the main lake and some 15 were spread out so good distance gave everyone a chance. The water has average depths of 5' and the place is rammed with Bream / skimmer / hybrid / roach / rudd / chub / Gudgeon and some Carp . The pegs are easily accessible from various parking advantage points and food and drink can be served to the pegs well as pre-match breakfast sustenance.

Peg 11 was my draw
Set up several rigs with floats up to a gram . The bait was varied but i had enough to cover all eventualities .
Also used Hinders Super-Charged Salmon Margin mix with half a bag of Sensas Sweet fishmeal and half a bag of SENSAS Double-Brasem additive .
The wind cometh at the start of the match - perfect !
Eventful match as it started at a great pace as i accumulated some 25-30 Roach / Rudd at 2+1 but after an hour they backed of . Went onto my Fishmeal line at 9metres and caught instantly skimmer up to 1-8 size but mostly 6-12oz size. Middle of match the fish were backing of and it became less active however there was still fish to be taken . I was unfortunate to lose 20 minutes with 7 hooked carp creating 4 smashed rigs and two lost light 3-5 elastics - that fishing !
Result on the day was 3rd place with 19-2 beaten by an ounce to next peg with 19-3
After the match in the car park Andy talking with the two anglers either side of me who had 19-3 and 15-4.
Jason Cunningham took the honours with 28lb consistently catching skimmers and Roach through out the match .
