2025 - March 19th -Trosa

It does not get more beautiful than fishing on a sunny spring day in the quaint town of TROSA on the East coast of Sweden. 

Every year i purchase the fishing card (years membership) and although there is a limited window of fishing opportunity it is well worth the price you pay as the fishing can be spectacular. 

Same position as the previous catch i made 

Blue sky, sun tan cream applied and here we go !

The Menu table for the expectants - 2 tins of corn and dead maggots with 3 litre of SONUBAITS River groundbait

Two whips at 3.5m and 6.5m plus a T2 pole rig and a feeder rod

Introduction to the day 

The start was immediate as a procession of 6.5m whip fish came to hand in the first 2 hours !

That first two hours realised 75 fish on the clicker

Action time 

Big Roach - 700 gr (1.5lb ish) - had many 

Fish were throwing themselves on the hook - in my case using HAYBUSA 157 size 14's

100 reached and now for some Feeder Lunch time !?

A lunch period feeder time as i ate my Råg bröd smorgas 

However there was no rest and sit back as the tip was constantly shaking with double corn on a size 10 MATRIX MXB1 - further out it was 2m deep and the same depth in fish as soon as the feeder hit the water it was shaking , non stop as the feeder and line settled over 100's of fish - i took two fish direct then put the feeder down as i wanted some peace to eat and take a cup of Tea .

More action , lets go for 200 !

Reached ! now lets go 300 !

After 6.5 hrs fishing over a 9 hour visitation ( setting up , lunch break and talking with some visitors) i decided i had better if i can lift the net up !!! ......oooo shit i forgot !

367 .........i think on another day i will go with three keep nets and try for 500

Well , after 4 aborted attempts and nobody in the area who could help i finally got aggressive and hauled the lot up with my fingers now throbbing due to that surge of strength 

Now for their return .........and yes ....everyone was a swimmer !
