2012 - 3 weeks tomorrow we are on tour !!

Just 3 weeks to go and its fishing heaven in the UK  !! - time to get more rigs complete , besides my collection in the UK i have started to rig up a few DINO Champions and MASTER CARP .
When in the UK we visit BESTFLOATS run by Attila and supplied by DINO. We are due to pick up 44 floats of 6 patterns to use exclusively at Whiteacres ,Bolingey,Gwinear and Mawgan Porth.

2012 - Feb26th - Preparation for the UK Tour

Busy afternoon/evening completing small 'fishy' tasks when i get the time as the season creeps ever closer plus the UK Tour trip is less than 5 weeks away  - omg !!

Ready for method feeder and pellet waggler - New Cralusso 0.16 6lb line and for the feeder its the reliable towing line MAXIMA 0.22 6lb.

Impressed with these new Craluso lines . MATCH SINKING is only 0.16 and it bedded onto the reel superbly ! The Hooklength lines were excellent and had no crinckling of the line and it tied really well to the hooks

Opportunity to check my pole catapults and renew many of the elastics

Cleaned my fleet of Shimano 4000 series Stradic's - 2 will go UK to support a few DAIWA reels

2012 - In 6 weeks its Cornwall UK

Yep ! in 6 weeks we travel to Uk , in particular to Cornwall where we will enjoy the Mecca of angling , the famous Whiteacres. But we also hope to fish the famous Bolingey ,Gwinear and the Mawgan Porth.
Last year in April i visited all the waters in the spring time which should be the same conditions we can expect on the first week of April

 My home county of Leicestershire and a favourite water , the Holly Farm on Moby's pool.

Travelled to the Whiteacres to look at a caravan we had booked for the July period .

Whilst there there was a festival taking place - The match lake , Polywyn.

2012 - Pole investment ......definately !

It was several years ago while on a Whiteacres festival with Freddan i was first introduced to a guy who was turning his own PTFE bushes and selling his talents to the best anglers. In particular Steve Ringer had all his pole tops mounted in pure PTFE. I managed to try out a pole top and drew out the elastic , well ! , it just glided out so smoothly !

Well since then they have gone from strength to strength and now have a complete service for all your pole needs  with Pole cones ,Kit cones and Bushes.

2012 - UK TOUR EQUIPMENT EVALUATION - PART 2

RECENTLY I PLACED AN ORDER WITH NATHANS OF DERBY FOR A FEW BITS FOR THIS TRIP . I NORMALLY ORDER THROUGH MY 3 MAIN SUPPLIERS IN SCANDANAVIA : METEBUTIKEN ,ITACKLE AND SWEDBAIT BUT I NEEDED TO GET THE GEAR EARLIER AND I KNOW THAT THSE 3 GIANTS OF MATCH TACKLE ARE STILL IN MASS ORDERING PROCESSES , MY ORDER IS COMING LATER WITH THEM.

TOOK AN ORDER FOR SOME GURU CAGE FEEDERS AS LISTENING TO PEOPLE LIKE SEAN HUGGINS IN LEICESTERSHIRE HE WAS TELLING ME THAT MASHED MEAT AND HEMP WITH HAIR RIGGED MEAT IS TOP SCORE AT WHITEACRES.

ALL 4 SIZES ORDERED BUT I THINK I WILL ONLY NEED TO USE THE LIGHTEST 2  - THESE ALSO COULD BE GOOD TO USE ON THE POLE-FEEDER METHOD AS THEY STAND PROUD OF THE BOTTOM.

GOT THE OLD TASTE BUDS GOING WITH THE PURCHASE OF THE PRESTON INNOVATIONS DVD ......WATCHED CD1 .....GOT NUMBER 2 TO GO , WHAT CAN I SAY BUT ABSOLUTE COMPULSIVE VIEWING !!

NEEDED SOME NEW TOW-LINE FOR THE TRIP SO I INVESTED IN SOME 5 - 6 LB MAXIMA AND SHIMANO TECHNIUM WHICH I CAN ALSO USE WELL FOR HEAVY RIVER FEEDER FISHING AND WAGGLER 16-22 GRAM STUFF ! (FOR SCANDANAVIAN BREAMING)
