2024 - April 6th and 7th Nykoping - Feeder Open

First competition of the year , an early one for Nykoping ! In the two weeks prior to this weekend quite a few anglers were taking 15-30 kilos in practice , all is well , or is it not ? 

Day 1 

Not too many words really as the day was a disappointment but nice pictures anyway.

I predicted the days winner was to be Fredrik

Saturday evening at my abode - tired young men who had spent a day praying for their tips to go around - soon to eat Meatloaf/potatoes/peas/carrots/gravy washed down with copious amounts of Red wine and finally Apple pie and custard - that lot soon put us all to sleep 😴😴😴😴😴

Getting over the days sad fish returns (none !)

DAY 2 - Can it get any better ?  With the prospects of warmer weather the day surely has to be better than Saturday , right !?

My peg for the day - You have to notice that the level is way down from normal , at least 15-20 cms in fact looks more lower than summer level!?

After pre-bait the 2nd day of the competition commenced and .....................ummmmm ........errrr ......nothing was happening , again ! Surely not , surely fish had moved in over night ???

It was obvious after 30 minutes that there will be no 'action' and the guys started to walk along the match perimeter . It was also noticeable that the early morning facing wind had dropped and calm water appeared ........thats not good and there was no fish topping at all.

I decided to sit on the local chair and watch my motionless tip and read the internet , i needed inspiration , i needed to see at least one fish to be caught, will i , wont i .
