2024 - May 15th - Trosa

Trosa again and why not !!! .........glorious weather , flowing water with the promise of bagging !

First of the day !

Unexpected on the Corn !?!?!?

Just 4 hours fishing and not the biggest net of fish compared to my recent sessions at Trosa
Approx 15-18 kilos  ish

As the fish go through their breeding process then the optimum opportunity to fish for them becomes quite a target so i expect today the Roach are ready for babies time and soon the Bream will follow , as for the Bjorkna , i have no idea !? I reckon most of the fish like Ide and Perch are occupied with their sex orgies !

2024 - May 12th - Sodertalje canal

Decided to give my local water a go to see if the fish have arrived in numbers as the water is taking time to warm up due to indifferent weather in recent weeks.

Sodertalje canal is beautiful but what spoils it is ...........

If only we could stop fast food packaging from being dumped ? Maybe car registration number printed on the packaging ........oooo no , you cannot do that , thats against their Human Rights !

More pain ............

Beautiful day to fish however the water is still very cold and the water very clear

Hard graft to get these  (approx. 3.5 kilos) , 1 small Bream , 1 small Bjorkna , roach , Perch and Bleak

2024 - May 10th - Trosa for a session in the sun

Decided to fish Trosa today and why not as most people are on holiday using Thursday's Red day to create a 4 day holiday. The sun was out and the weather is glorious , time for some bagging !

What a place this is , its limited in places to fish from but if you get it right , its heavenly bagging

End of a 4 hour session and now to show the spoils of the day

Bjorkna 95% , 2 small Ide , 2 small Perch , 1 Rudd , several roach

Also i congratulate TROSA AFK for their drive and passion of our fishing sport as now they have introduced keep nets to their annual match held on the river section. I also congratulate their team of bailiffs who regularly patrol the waters making sure that certain scum (non-anglers) are not allowed to return as there will be consequences. Also the club in general is maintaining a proper and respectful group of anglers of high standards so making a great advertisement for new anglers to join this wonderful and progressive club .
Also i must say how friendly the people are in TROSA as you always will have people interested in what you are fishing for . Most of all the young anglers in the town are really friendly and respectful , i have made many friends , its a pleasure to fish there .

2024 - May 4th , 5th - Nykoping Feeder competition

Nykoping Feeder weekend evokes great memories over the years of very large weights of Bream , Tench, Ide , Bjorkna and Rudd however with the longer winter temperature (last weekend snowed on first day of Arboga) it was hoped for good weights considering that on 6th and 7th April was the first match at the venue and 15 anglers blanked on both days !!!  Surely it will fish well as we are greeted by warm sunny weather on the Saturday ?

2nd day view from the Masters section

First day of competition and unfortunately , again ! I failed to impress only securing 1 Bream and the rest were small Bjorkna , Rudd , roach and Bleak !!😞😞😞 . During the match i got neck ache watching Ivan to my left and Esa to my right catch a good stamp of fish . Again ! like Arboga i lose 2 Bream in snags !!

Ivan the Terrible from Croatia 😀

Esa - Bream master - how does he do it ?

Kjell with the biggest Russ of the day - 850gr

Patrick on end peg with a decent Ide

DAY2 - A change of weather happened (typical weather at the moment in Sweden) as the promise of just cloudy weather ..........umm yet it rained off and on and was quite cool during the first half of the competition !

Ivan the T relaxing before the start and today has better non-leaking boots ( myself had the same problem on first day )

The wind started to get up so all is promising for those Big bream shoals to arrive

Well , what can i say but on Peg 2 (previous days winner) started well until i lost my first Bream on a snag when half way bringing it in . I persisted and caught many small fish but again i was cursed with snags and loads more weed being hooked up as i lost another Bream and i think a third but unsure of its size . To my Right was Esa who had far more snags on the peg (my peg the day before ) , he too lost a few Bream and most of all snapped of on his leaders three times as he had a whole procession of snagging worst than me . He still ended up more fish than myself .

Ivan on peg 1 was again snag free - how did he do that ? - nice Rudd

Still managed a smile but losing the three biggest put a damper on my day - thats fishing !

Esa must have lost 5 kilos of fish and re-threading time on both feeder rods

Kjell enjoyed the day and started well with a large fish only for it to be a 2 kilo Pike !!

Mr Metmask enjoyed his day with 16 kilos and lost a tench

The sections happiest angler was Patrick who drew the same peg the day before and possibly was not looking forward to it but he sacked up 24 kilos - well done mate

Day 1 winner of section A in the OPEN match was Stefan 'The Bagging machine' Holst

OPEN RESULTS - 1st Day

MASTERS - 1st day

CONGRATULATIONS - to Mats Larsson for another well run competition as he is a great organiser.

HEALTH PROBLEM  - Sad to hear that on Sunday Tom could not make it as his back problem returns , get well mate and we all hope to see you back on the bank soon .

WANTED ! ........someone to Coach me back to normality  😂😂😂😂😂
