2025 - Nykoping Bro - November 2nd

This time of year the Nykoping river is just right for some heavy bagging and in the past has seen fish count over 200 in a 5-6 hour session .......lets hope it goes that way?

I was up early with all the expectancy of what could happen down on the river estuary and arrived just as the sun started to rise . I managed to secure my favourite place on the 'Boards' which is so comfortable and flat for the box and equipment . When there i noticed the river had some colour presumably due to recent rains so there should be good fishing ..........lets see !? 

I set up a feeder rod , Top 6 pole to 4gr Garbolino SPT19 and a 6m whip with Metmask bagging 3gr whip float. Later i set up another 6m whip with EXNER 4gr Lucifer.

How scenic is that 

Further to the bridge as few anglers appeared 

Took a rest (cup of tea) and admired the view 

I continued to catch well but the Herring / bleak were attacking the corn constantly and i foul hooked so many . I decided to feed less ground bait and feed more corn and it worked with more larger roach/bjorkna and ide responding. 

The days scores ....126

Best ide of the day about 500gr

The days return ........Mostly Roach with several Perch (on corn) , a few Ide , few Bjorkna, a few skimmers and some strange looking fish looking like Herring ? 

Decent weight also .......approx 18/20 kilos

The herring / sil type fish i had , i think ?
