2011 - 20th July - Another trip to the famous Gwinear fishery for an evening charity- part 4

Back to the Gwinear for an evening match for charity where half the money went to a good cause.
There was about 16 in for the match and we started fishing at 6 on a cool grey overcast evening at about 16 degrees - Where did the summer go ?

Time to get the gear out ready for the short 15 minute trip there - really good idea on the Whiteacres site that most caravans have these all purpose storage security lock-ups - perfect.

I drew peg 3 on the left hand pool it had short margins which only mean't top 2's . My alternative was to fish out at 5m up in the water and also the method feeder.

2 anglers opposite and one of them just happens to be the venue's crack angler ; Harry Billing on peg12 for the 3rd time in a row !!

The guy to the left is where on the previous match an angler fell in the water whilst having a epeleptic fit and Harry had to run quickly and jump in the water to his waist and save him......i really hope Mr.Mazza from Leeds has thanked Harry ??

Fishery manager Chris Heacock on the right

After 3 hours the weigh in started and peg 1 to my right was Alex and he bagged up in his better margins in the last hour for a good 70+ weight

After a slow start and nothing in my margins i went short in the water on pellet and caught well in the last 90 minutes to get 56-00

Aandy Dare had a hard time and weighed about 45+

some nice fish came out

Harry with about 65-ish

Pete Thomas with part of his winning weight of 82-00

after the match it was free Cornish Pasties and Coffee/Tea and off course the pay out to the winners. The winner was Peter Thomas with 82-00

Chief organiser of the charity camE along and thanked everyone for their contributions which realised over 250 pounds towards the charity
