2025 - July 19th - Sodertalje canal with Jacob

English family over for 2 weeks and they certainly brought the hot weather with them since their arrival last Saturday its been stunning weather ! Today i took the opportunity to take my grandson fishing as its been a year since that time . Woke at 06:00 am , to the canal at 07:00 am and fishing by 08:15 am . 

The unfortunate side of Sodertalje is the complete lack of discipline . Littering all over the town by just awful low life people who feel at home littering the floor and burning rubber along the road (usually late at night) NOTE: it was nice to see a FARTHINDER (Speed Bump) has been positioned along with several others to stop this ridiculous speed tomfoolery .

Leave their McDonalds on the floor next to the Bin !!! - You could not make it up !!

When i started to bring all my gear down to the waters edge i disturbed what i thought was a huge Carp or other monsterous fish exactly 5m out from where i intended to fish . It was a huge splash and it was only then that i saw a head pop up out the water about 25m away ......It was a Beaver ! 

Shortly after a Grass Snake about a metre long passed next to my box before i started to fish ! .....anything else about to happen ?

First drop on the TAP and i had a small Bream - wow , great start , it looks like the pre-feed on Friday has helped. 

Another came to the net but lost one also

Used method feeder also and took a small Bream 

It was  struggle for the 3 hours fishing . Jacob joined me and he took the biggest Bream of the day and lost another large one on the pole. We had 8 Bream and 2 small Perch.
