2013 - June 6th and a practice day at Fyrisan

Today is Sweden's National day and its a red day from work so Myself , Jimmy and Johan ventured to Uppsala on the Fyrisan to practice on a match length upstream of the Canoe station. The area was easily accessible and the bank was superb for fishing pole and whip.

MVE ....of course !

Today i decided to fish the pole at 13 and 11m towards the tree snag area . It plumbed at just over 3 m and closer in it was just about 2m. I had 3 tops set up with a 8gr DINO EA2004 0.16/0.12 16'S MILO R113 hook . The rig was more for long lining as i expected to trot the float down the peg. A second rig i used a 5g DINO CLUB with 0.16/0.12 to a IMAGE IM5 16 hook. A third rig was a DINO OVO 3gr 0.15/0.10 to a 18's SENSAS 3210 .

First fish of the day a pristine condition roach after potting 2 balls at 11/12m.

Look at the back drop to where i am fishing ......nature is beautiful.

After a good start the fish started to get wary so feeding had to be completed carefully as not to clear them off . However after a quiet spell i connectd with this decent skimmer bream of about 1.7lb

Anymore coming ?

Well once the sun was high the bites did dry up and in the last 2 hours i only had 4 fish . Ended up with about 45 roach and skimmer  for about 6.5/7.5 kilos - ish

This water section of the water course through the town and surrounding area was spotted by Jimmy and has been emphasized by our groundbait sponsorer , Mr.Lennartson to be the section to fish in the winter .

Jimmy and Johan had a nice net of fish each also.
