TUNNEL BARN FARM - CANAL NEXT TO THE SITE

View from the canal looking upto the barn where the caravan is

View from the barn looking down to the canal.....typical brown water canal

Fantastic cut away showing sediment layers and rock and stone formations - lots of mosses and hanging plants - must be a real haven for water side birds

Looking up the canal towards the Shrewley canal tunnel

Great information.

Private fishing !.....what a bummer !

Adjacent was a tunnel about 50 metres long that brought you upto the main road

396 metres long !!!.......spooky in there......you can walk along the canal in there ....not !

Walking in the opposite direction from the tunnel you come to bridge 60

At Bridge 61 you can see : 1933......presumably when the canal was constructed or improved ?

View looking down from bridge 61

Bridge 61 had some work in 1983 last

This part of the canal shows the farm buildings and local land below the level of the water

Bridge 62 was some 1200 metres out from Tunnel Barn Farm ......the furthest i walked

And beyond from bridge 62
