2014 - practice on the River Soar one week before the SOAR MASTERS FINAL
One week to go before the Soar masters final and i took the opportunity to fish the Sutton Bonnington length at peg 32 to try a 'few things ' !?
In the morning i had visited the church of Knowledge at Mountsorrel better known as Bennetts of Mountsorrel ! There i became i disciple of the inner sanctum as the knowledge passed all morning over the counter , also did the coffee !
What did i learn ? ……can't say ! but become a regular member of bait and tackle then all the secrets are revealed , i am now a disciple of this sanctimonious church of the learned !
Sutton Bonnington , typical soar country , beautiful yet hard to fish !
My peg with opposite view
32
My frontline attack ? or is it something else i shall choose ?
Met a very sensible person in knowledge of the Soar , hear bailiff of LAS . Great words we exchanged and we both sat on a commonality of views on current angling the UK.
Took delivery of my new SENSAS whips at 2.5,3.5,4.5,5.5 metres ……maybe i am trying for Bleak ???
TareZ are uZ !
pick of the Big seed fish (skimmer also )

2014 - VICTORY SHOW - Sunday , my day to view.
Having sat through the saturday fishing for the GAC with John and his lady Katie i decided to go back with my girlfriend and make the visit …… what a huge show it was with tents , memorabilia , war scene set ups out in the fields and in the woods , it was hugely extensive.
So much to see for the family and so much to admire from the planes to the tanks to the Pasties and the Beer !
Director Carola Karlsson standing next to our advertising board along with the residential fishing club : GREENHILL ANGLING CLUB
We took a tour around the vast array of courtesy tents , food halls , battle enactments , vehicles of all descriptions from the WWII period . Have really enjoyed the day and appreciated the effort these people have put into restoring equipment to working condition . Must have been several thousand people there today and possibly 15000 over the 3 days, it was packed !

2014 - VICTORY SHOW COSBY AND A GREAT DAY RAISING MONEY FOR THE CLUB , ALSO NEW MEMBERS
Saturday the 6th September and the VICTORY SHOW was staged at the GAC Ashpole Spinney area. This is a mega popular show of battle re-enactments from WWII with some superb restored equipment from guns ,tanks and planes.
The show gave the GAC a chance to get the people who attended a chance to watch myself and John complete some fishing so to influence future members to join. My company the MIDLANDS ANGLING SUPPLIES LTD combined with the best club in Leicestershire was looking to raise monies towards the club and HELP FOR HEROES campaign. We actually raised £250-00 and we realised at least several new prospective new members for the club!!
Our Tombola table and some 80 prizes !
Would you believe it , Bob won one of the reels !
