2013 Sodertalje canal on a warm sunny day in early August.

Early August and Sodertalje was my target for a nice summers days pleasure fishing . How well will it fish ? I noticed straight the way that from previous years there was not so much weed banks in the waters that tended to grow from about 5 metres deep and come to the surface , yet ! we are having the warmest , longest summer for years  ?

After a steady first 90 minutes in which i took about 20 fish the Bream then shown themselves .

2013 TROSA AT THE WEIR AND STICK FLOAT FISHING

Decided to go Trosa after Carola's mother had moved their the previous weekend and she needed help with everything in her new home . So why they emptied boxes i decided to empty my peg   :-)

Set up a 13' Preston waggler rod with a Pete Warren 5xno4 stick float with adjusting shot to a 0.13 bottom and Colmic N500 16's hook to start but by the end of the day that became 0.15 with a 14's hook.

After 5 minutes the first fish , Rutilus-rutilus dogius roachius  

After a procession of roach and Perch came the first Ide of the day.....what a scrapper !

After a couple of hours with the bites getting less from the smaller fish then the reason was because of these moving into the peg ......first slab of the day and what a scrap to get it into the net.

Even had several big stripeys' on the corn !

After losing 3 very large fish (2 Bream and one Ide) i had a consolation prize of the biggest bream of the day.

Then further consolation with my best Ide of the day.

2013 - Norrkoping practice with the Men of MAU

Car loaded from the rear of the house  and time to get away ......1hr 15mins is the journey which is really a short trip in Swedish match angling terms.

Car to your peg ...what a venue and what a match the SM will be .

GREAT TOWN AND ACCOMADATION AND THE WATER CONTAINS MUCH FISH !!

My office for the day which is a peg  i think just going into C section. It is deep , 4 -5 metres and i am only fishing the whip today , pole is at home . 

Later the Tikanen arrived and started to catch regular on the slider

My menu board was a few live maggots and pinkies with loads of deeds and corn in about 3 kilos of ground bait and 2 kilos of leam , feeding a small hand ball every 3-5 minutes , hard !

Johan who fished a few hours less than me and Jimmy still ended up with a decent catch.

Great day with the Men of MAU , How will it fish at the SM , Joker dominate the feeding fish of could it be the best weights ever in a SM , really hope the latter.
