2016 - ANGLING TRUST SOAR VALLEY WINTER LEAGUE - ROUND 2 - October 16th

With MATRIX-Trentmen taking the honours on the first match you can guarantee that the other teams wanted to make amends and challenge this early lead . The day started with rain but it did not dampen the spirits as after the great weights of round 1 the air was full of expectancy for more great weights however this time the water on is coming in cold and late in the match . With the water gin clear how will it fish ?

2016 - ANGLING TRUST SOAR VALLEY WINTER LEAGUE - ROUND 1 - October 2nd

WINTER LEAGUE NO 1 - at last it arrived , like me , i arrived then went home . So disappointed to not fish and not be part of the day , this because of a horrible virus that had approached 5 weeks and was waring me down.
After last seasons successful winter league Joff and Brian decided to let some one else have a go after  they had masterminded a very prominent Winter League for many years. Unfortunately as this league came under new management then three clubs decided not to participate but we gained one extra , those superb lads from COLMIC Kegworth AC run by owner of Soar Tackle , Scott Johnson.

The league is now run by the Teams so everyone gets involved . Various clubs volunteered themselves for specific tasks and these were ;

Notts Trentman  - Matrix - Pegging
Wigston AC - Shimano - Money matters
Long Eaton Federation - Scales and boards .

Other clubs like Starlets , Midlands Angling Supplies , Kegworth AC have also requested to be involved in any way they can help on match days . Quorn AC take a particular mention as they have actively helped gain good peg space for the benefit of the League.

The Day started with my early morning drive to the venue to drop off the scales for the match , it also gave me a good opportunity to deliver some of my teams ground bait and supplies they had ordered. After that i had to go home and get prepared on my computer ready for all the latest photos coming in from the lads on the bank. MAS manager Michael Carr was there to record the early beginnings and we have a few photo an films to show ;
